Spring into Fun!

The snow is (finally!) behind us, the days are longer, and the kids are bouncing with energy—which can only mean one thing: spring is here!

At Kids’ League, we’ve been soaking up every ounce of sunshine and fresh air. Outdoor play is one of our favorite ways to help kids burn off energy, build friendships, and just be kids. The best part? You don’t need fancy equipment or a huge yard to keep the fun going at home.

Here are some of our favorite outdoor games that your family can try anytime:

🌼 1. Shadow Tag

Just like regular tag, but you tag someone’s shadow! It’s a hit on sunny afternoons.

🌼 2. Nature Scavenger Hunt

Make a list of springtime treasures (a yellow flower, a smooth rock, something that smells good, etc.). Kids can play alone or in teams. Bonus: this one makes walks more exciting too!

🌼 3. Chalk Obstacle Course

All you need is sidewalk chalk. Draw a path with challenges like “hop 3 times,” “spin in a circle,” or “walk like a crab.” It’s silly, active, and creative all in one.

🌼 4. Balloon Tennis

Blow up a balloon and give kids paper plates taped to sticks—or just their hands! They can volley it back and forth or see how long they can keep it in the air.

🌼 5. Build a Fort Outside

Let them use sticks, blankets, or even cardboard to build their own hideaway. Creativity + teamwork = hours of fun.

Encouraging kids to move their bodies and use their imaginations is a big part of what we do at Kids’ League, and spring gives us the perfect excuse to do even more of it. So grab some sunscreen, head outside, and get ready to spring into fun!

We’d love to hear: What’s your child’s favorite outdoor game?
